Why choose Teckels?

When you leave your cat or dog it is important for you to know they are in safe hands and that they are going to be happy while you are away. At Teckels our primary concern is the welfare of the animals in our care.

Not only do we really care about what we do, we are also qualified and experienced in animal welfare and behaviour. As well as looking after our boarding visitors we also rescue and rehabilitate around 100 dogs and 200 cats each year in order to find them new homes. We offer the same level of love and care to our boarding clients that we give to our rescue animals.

Due to our experience and training we are able to recognise if an animal is unhappy, stressed or feeling unwell and we know what to do in these situations. Our primary aims is for your pet to have a safe, comfortably and happy stay with us so that you can leave them with us with full confidence.

Each day we feed, exercise and spend time with the animals in our care, also ensuring that they have clean accommodation, bedding and toys. Teckels is staffed 24-hours a day, with onsite cover overnight, and our team is hard at work from 7am to 7pm every day. We are proud to be members of LiKCA (Licensed Kennels & Cattery Association) and are of course fully licensed by Stroud District Council for Boarding and Doggy Day Care.

Our competitive daily charges apply for the duration of the stay, including the day of arrival and day of departure. There are no hidden extras and our price is the same whatever type or size of cat or dog you have. We cater for all dietary requirements and we are trained to administer medicine which we are happy to do at no extra cost.

At Teckels we are passionate about animals and our boarding service is a non-profit business. This means that any leftover money goes straight to our rescue and rehoming centre to help those animals who don’t have a home of their own. So by choosing Teckels to board your pet you are directly helping to give other animals a better life.
