Polly’s Update – From Suffering to Strength

When Polly first arrived at Teckels, she was in a heartbreaking state. (Read more here.)

Her skin was raw and sore, her fur matted, and even the gentlest touch caused her pain. Yet, through it all, she still wagged her tail, longing for kindness and comfort.

Fast forward to today – and what a transformation.

This brave little cockerpoo has made an incredible recovery. Just last Monday she was spayed, another important step on her journey. Her skin still has some healing left to do, but her fur is growing back beautifully, and she’s beginning to look like the happy, healthy girl she was always meant to be.

She can still be a little wary when touched around her bald patches – she remembers the pain – but her confidence is blossoming.

Polly has made some lovely doggy friends here and is proving to be wonderfully sociable.

Her playful spirit is shining through more and more each day.

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for – Polly has now been adopted. We’re sure she will be the most loving companion for her new family.

Polly’s recovery is a shining example of the work you make possible. This is what your support delivers – the kind of round-the-clock care we provide 24/7, 365 days a year. But her story also reminds us there’s always more to do. Dogs like Polly arrive with us every week, frightened, in pain, and desperately needing help.

With your kindness, we can be there for them – but the journey isn’t over. Please, if you can, donate today to help us continue this vital work and give more animals the chance of a brighter future.

Every pound truly makes a difference.
