Sweetheart Maggie is a worried lady who seems to have not had the easiest start in life. Arriving to us very shut down and scared; the staff have worked hard to win her trust and we now have an absolute cuddle monster who loves playing, snuggling and being out for her walks in the fields (she even walks nicely on the lead!).

Although we do feel Maggie could be left for portions of the day. She would still like her new family to be at home regularly to help her settle in and continue to work on building her confidence in the world. She would like to live in a calmer household with understanding adults and would like her own private garden to play in. Maggie will need to be the only pet in her new home; she does have a couple of walking friends here but again she can be worried and a bit avoidant around other dogs. She has the potential for some calm walking buddies once she has settled.

Maggie is likely to require multiple meets at the centre before she is ready to go home. She can be very unsure about peoples intentions initially and it can take some time (and lots of hot dog pieces) for her to feel comfortable. Once she trusts you however, she is very different character. She loves being on the sofa with you for cuddles and will happily stand in front of you for scratches when the opportunity arises. Maggie also loves playing with soft toys and will bring them back to you and swap them for a tasty treat; as well as enjoying preforming all her obedience skills.

Maggie deserves nothing more than to finally feel safe and loved with a family who will adore her as much as we do.
If you feel you can offer Maggie her happy ever after, please see the 'how to adopt' section of the website or click the 'enquire now' button below. Due to the number of emails we receive we are only able to contact successful applicants.
