Meet Bea

Little Bea seems to have had a bit of a tricky start so far. Although so sweet and gentle, Bea is quite the worrier and is struggling to find her feet. She is now looking to find a very patient home with at least one other calm, confident dog(s).

Coming to us with little history, we are unsure if Bea has ever lived in a home previously or if she has had much interaction with people. What has become clear is that dogs make her feel noticeably more comfortable and she is definitely a little braver with people when there is a dog buddy around to show her the ropes; Hence looking for a home with a resident dog. Bea’s new family will not only have to dedicate significant time to building her confidence but also consider the settling in hurdles like housetraining, basic obedience etc. As well as considering how different life might look when she is more settled and confident.

Currently it would seem that poor Bea is not used to being walked. The concept of a collar and harness seems quite daunting to this little lady but the team are currently working hard to build her confidence bit by bit. Bea will therefore need a fully secure, private garden with enough room for her to have a bit of a potter around. Her new family will also need to think about how life looks going from a dog who is not confident to go for walks, to one that may need a decent amount of exercise once settled. As much as the big, wide world is intimidating to Bea at the moment; we still need to remember that our poodle types can be very active and exceptionally clever so her needs may change!

Bea is looking for a calm and consistent home with all humans over the age of 14. She would prefer to live in a quieter location with access to quieter walks when she’s ready.

Although there is still progress to be made, we have already seen what a lovely natured girl Bea has the potential to be. She has slowly started to creep onto our laps and will curl up for a gentle fuss when she feels more comfortable. She enjoys having a good mooch around our paddocks here and does have an appetite for a tasty treat or too. We know how happy she could be when the world makes more sense to her, but it will take a lot of time and dedication to get her there.

If you can see the potential in Bea like we do and feel you can offer her the home she needs, please see the ‘how to adopt’ section of the website or click the ‘Enquire now’ button. Please note, due to the number of emails we receive, we are only able to contact successful applicants.
