My name is
Age: 2-4 years
Breed: Staffordshire bull Terrier
Ava found herself at Teckels having been handed in as a stray. Although she is so desperate to please, this little sweetheart can be a real worrier so is looking for a calm and quiet home where she doesn't have to worry so much.
Ava can be very reserved when it comes to meeting new people so would like her new home to have fewer visitors. She would like to live in an adult only home with a family who have lots of patience and time to help build her confidence. Once she has gotten to know you (with the help of a hot dog piece or two!), she loves nothing more than tucking herself under your arm for sofa snuggles.
Ava is a super clever girl and really enjoys her training sessions here. She has already learnt to sit and give paw and is currently working on her loose lead walking. She has also been working hard on getting in the van so she can go on adventures further afield.
As she can find lots of things a little on the scary side, Ava is likely to need to stay on her lead in public places. She will therefore require a private and secure garden to be able to play and stretch her legs. She would like to live away from busy roads and ideally in an environment where she doesn't have to come across heavy traffic on her walks. She can also be worried around some dogs so would prefer to be the only dog in her new home.
Ava has the potential to be left for a couple of hours although would like her family to be around for good portions of the day as she just loves snuggles so much.
If you feel you could offer Ava her happy ever after please see the 'how to adopt' section or click 'enquire now' below. Due to the high number of emails we receive we are only able to contact successful applicants.
